The mine Wye is totally filled in, we're gonna try to tackle this one next weekend.

Replacing the switch at the top loop - Checking it over here before taking it apart.

Example of rotted out ties. The aluminum rail is a custom extrusion made for the railroad for 3" scale.

First thing is to dig a trench along side the switch and pull out the old ties.
|
|
...Then dig out the rest of it.
|
Now its hanging in mid-air.
|
Placing new pressure treated ties along the way - they are all different lengths, some lengths we have just fit, others need cut
|

All done and ready for dirt.
